Top Ten Tuesday!

Hello Everyone! Today you're in for a treat! I've decided to gift you with not one Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and the Bookish  ) but TWO TOP TEN TUESDAYS!! Because I really want to complete last week's as well, but if I keep pushing it off, it ain't gonna happen. So for those of you who are more interested in this week's prompt, I'll have that one first! This week's Top Ten Tuesday is Winter To Be Read Books! It just so happens that I have about a million books to read right now, so it was difficult picking ten, but I'm hoping this will encourage me to actually get them read! I have three "adult" books: A Lady Most Lovely by Jennifer Delamere: I admit that one of my best friends got me reading regency romance novels a couple years ago. When I came across this one at my work, it seemed like the perfect happy winter read. So now I have a reason to actually get to it and read it! I mean, look at that frosty cover. T...

The Death Cure - James Dashner

That’s right, I’m starting my blog reviews with the third in a series. Oooops. Anyway you can buy it here ( Amazon ) or (as I would prefer) you can swing in to your local book store and pick it up there :) You can also find this review on my  goodreads  along with my reviews of the first two.  As much as I wanted to like this series, I just couldn’t get behind it. The final book in the trilogy The Death Cure didn’t make it any better for me. I’m hoping that The Kill Order will make me a little happier, but I don’t have a whole lot of optimism about it. Major spoilers ahead, so readers beware.  Oh James, why don’t you like women? Like it drives me crazy. I want to not care and just like the story, but every single second I’m hoping for a better woman character. Or hell, A woman character, she doesn’t have to be super great. But so far there’s been Teresa who acts as a romantic interest/impetus for the group. Then in the Scorch Trials she becomes a total traito...

10 Books I'm Thankful For...2013

I realize Thanksgiving is over a week past, but I’m thankful for these books everyday. So I figured, I could do a bit of catching up and have this be the first real post on my blog. Alright—in some order (basically what I thought of them in) but not in order of how much they mean to me or anything like that I present  10 Books (more or less) Which I Am Thankful For Harry Potter : That’s right—the whole goddamn series. Because seriously, I have no idea what tragedy my life would even be without these suckers. I was 11 years old when these suckers came out and fell into my hands. I remember waiting in the library for my librarian to finish wrapping the third book so I could check it out and read it immediately. My life has just revolved so spectacularly around this series since I was in 3rd grade that I just can’t even explain it. I really just feel that someone who hasn’t read these books will miss a fundamental part of me. Wuthering Heights:  Oh my goo...

Welcome!

Hello everyone!  Thanks for following my book blog. I work as a bookseller and thus, I see books all the time. And it’s also kind of my (awesome, extremely enjoyable) job to be up on what’s good and what’s hot in young adult literature. And kid’s literature. So because of that I’ve been reading lots of book blogs lately.  (My fave?  Anna Read s - seriously check her out!) I wanted to contribute to this little world as well, so I decided to set up my own book blog!  Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
